Membership
Eligibility
The Stakers Union prioritizes independent node operators with particular emphasis on those running hardware at home. We recognize that access to stable networking and power is not universal so "remote" stakers (using the Nixo Classification (opens in a new tab)) are also eligible with a lower multiplier. We exclude "managed" stakers as independent node operation and control over configuration including client selection is a core value of the Stakers Union.
Eligible members include validators on StakeCat's Solo Staker Lists (List A (opens in a new tab), RocketPool (opens in a new tab)) or an accepted appeal (submitted during verification process if needed).
Importantly, the amount of ETH staked is not important: a node operator running a single Rocket Pool minipool is considered to have equal standing to one with multiple solo-validators.
Participation
Stakers Union membership is an active commitment and inducted members are expected to participate in initiatives. Stakers Union members get access to the #members-only
Discord channel where they can vote on proposals and appeals.
Maintenance
To remain in good standing, members must also maintain high-performance of active validators.
