Signing a Message

Membership in the Stakers Union requires verification of a signed message from an eligible address.

Etherscan Message Signing

Etherscan provides a simple interface (opens in a new tab) for signing an arbitrary text message. The interface allows for connections to hardware wallets through MetaMask, WalletConnect, and Coinbase Wallet.

Steps

1. Go to Etherscan Verified Signature (opens in a new tab)
2. Click on the "Sign Message" button and connect your wallet
3. Enter the Stakers Union Oath in the "Message" field
4. Click on the "Sign Message" button and complete the interaction with your wallet
5. Click on the "Publish" button and save the URL to your verified signature (ex. https://etherscan.io/verifySig/123456)

Offline Signing

For those who prefer to sign messages offline, options include:

1. MyCrypto (opens in a new tab)
2. MEW (opens in a new tab)

Steps

1. Complete the offline signing process and copy the output to your internet-connected computer
2. Go to Etherscan Verified Signature (opens in a new tab)
3. Click on the "Verify Signature" button
4. Fill in the required fields (Signature Hash must start with 0x, learn more (opens in a new tab))
5. Select the "Verify and Publish" option
6. Click on the "Continue" button and save the URL to your verified signature (ex. https://etherscan.io/verifySig/123456)
